The Hudson River Rug Hookers invites anyone interested to join us — YOUR FIRST SESSION IS FREE!
Our teacher, Marilyn Bottjer, is a gifted artist who has been rug hooking for decades. Rug hooking is a traditional American art form that’s simple to learn and endlessly creative. It’s all about playing with color and design, and one of the best parts is the ability to use recycled materials. Many of us create beautiful mats and rugs from old wool clothing, washed and cut into strips. Some even repurpose items like well-loved cashmere sweaters!
We meet regularly throughout the year. After a short break for the holidays, sessions run from mid-January through mid-May.
We continue to be inflation protected at $8/class for all 13 classes, totaling $104 or $10 to drop in.
Come give it a try — discover a new craft, make something beautiful, and enjoy the company of fellow creatives!
